Innovating Orchard Management: The Tracked Orchard Sprayer

Pesticide application has undergone four development stages: traditional manual spraying, mechanized spraying, automated spraying, and intelligent spraying.

Intelligent spray robots integrate agricultural machinery, intelligent perception, intelligent decision-making, and intelligent control technologies. They autonomously, efficiently, safely, and reliably complete pesticide application tasks.

Here, we introduce the tracked orchard sprayer. The tracked chassis has a large contact area and strong adhesion capability. The friction between the tracks and the ground provides additional traction, giving the tracked chassis excellent terrain adaptability. Farmers commonly use it in complex environments such as greenhouses, hilly terrains, and densely planted orchards.

Vineyard greenhouses

In greenhouses, crops are densely planted and the working rows are narrow. Therefore, operators use a small tracked chassis to prevent the spray robot from colliding with crops during operation, enabling damage-free intelligent pesticide application. Intelligent path planning and precise variable-rate spraying control further enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of pesticide application.

In densely planted orchards, the low and dense foliage and the presence of ground weeds make the ground slippery, posing challenges for wheeled intelligent spray robots. The self-propelled tracked chassis, with its strong propulsion and high stability, meets the requirements of pesticide application in orchards effectively.
