"Empowering Agriculture Through Innovation: Xi County Leads the Way in Smart Farming Technology"
Recently, the “Sci-Tech Innovation China · Wisdom Gathering in Xi County ‘Yuluxiang’ Technology Brand Innovation Conference” took place in Xi County, Shanxi. The event was organized by the Linfen City Association for Science and Technology, the CPC Xi County Committee, the Xi County People’s Government, the Shanxi Agricultural University Fruit Tree Research Institute, and the Shanxi Provincial Rural Professional Technology Association. Xi County is also a filming location for one of China’s first AAA video games.
The conference featured the Yuluxiang Pear Brand Upgrade Strategy Press Conference, the Harvest Season Opening Ceremony, and the E-commerce Festival. These events attracted many visitors, eager to experience the joy of the harvest and the local culture.
Honor, Lanjiang Technology’s market manager, delivered a report on the company’s orchard robots. His presentation, titled “Lanjiang Technology’s Multi-Functional Orchard Robots in Hilly and Mountainous Orchards of Xi County,” highlighted their practical application. This breakthrough signaled a major step in advancing local agricultural modernization through intelligent machinery.
Xi County, located at 36.6°N latitude on the Loess Plateau, excels in the pear industry. Yuluxiang pears from the region lead the nation in planting area, yield, and quality. They are sold both domestically and internationally. These pears have become the primary income source for locals. The average income from fruit sales exceeds 10,000 yuan per person, making Yuluxiang pears a “wealth fruit” for the area.
Intelligent management technology now plays a role in every aspect of the pear industry. Lanjiang Technology’s multi-functional robots assist with spraying, weeding, and transport. This has increased production efficiency and precision, driving digital and intelligent transformation.
The technology has also enabled online management, reducing labor costs and addressing labor shortages. It has helped counter the aging workforce problem, creating “unmanned” field production scenes.
Lv Wei, a senior engineer at Lanjiang Technology, said the company will continue working with Xi County to optimize robot performance. They aim to support high-quality agricultural development and seek to collaborate with more partners to advance agricultural technology.
The conference’s success highlights Lanjiang Technology’s innovation. It also recognizes Xi County’s efforts to use technology in agriculture. Lanjiang Technology plans to keep driving agricultural modernization, contributing to global agricultural prosperity.
